Bulky-weight yarn in Creme Brulee - planned pooling / self-striping

$ 28.00 Regular price

This luxe bulky yarn looks as good as it sounds. It is two-thirds rich vanilla custard mixed with one-third butterscotch. This will knit up with bands of color throughout, like when making the Chunky Chelsea hat (free pattern link below), our yarn will self-stripe! Super fun, easy, and oh-so-pretty. The 2-ply 100% merino is ridiculously soft and luxurious, too.

Patterns We Love:

  • Each hank is 100 grams / 100 meters (109 yards)
  • 2-ply Deluxe SuperChunk Bulky weight yarn
  • 100% Superwash Extrafine Merino Wool (19.5 micron)
  • Hand wash in cool water / dry flat
  • Recommended needle size: US 9 - 10 (5.5 - 6mm) needles / Crochet I - J
  • Gauge (stockinette stitch): 15sts x 20 rows over 10cm (4 inches) on 6mm (US 10) needles

This super squishy yarn is a 2-ply extrafine merino wool. At 19.5 microns, it is almost as cushy as cashmere. Deliciously bulky, one hank will make for a quick knitting or crochet project.

Dyed by us in our home state of Washington using professional commercial dyes that won't fade or bleed.

Note: The fibers used in our yarn base are produced and processed in ways that do not harm the animals or the environment. We only use yarn made from shorn or naturally shed wool that is certified as mulesing free.

The yarn from Gina is beautiful. It has many soft shades of blue and will make a lovely sweater. Gina also responded quickly to questions about the shipping process from USA to Canada.

I bought this yarn as a gift for my MIL, who is an avid knitter. She has been recovering from surgery and I hoped she would have something to keep her hands busy. While my MIL loves the yarn and raved about its quality, I took one star off because the seller took so long to ship the yarn (over a month) that my MIL had recovered from surgery by the time it finally arrived to her.
